In Ireland there are some excellent community based money advice organisations. Such organisations predominently offer 'self help' assistance to community members and can often assist with real cases of financial hardship. The largest community based organisation is the Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS) and they produce some very good self help leaflets.
